Although much of the game's options are greyed out, including most of the starting roster, players are able to play 2 minute matches using Mario, Link, Pikachu, Villager, and Mega Man. The only stage available in the demo is Battlefield, although players can also select the 'Final Destination' variant of the stage by pressing X first.

Club Nintendo Early Demo Codes

Nintendo announced during their Treehouse Livestream on September 12, 2014 that certain Club Nintendo Platinum Members will be receiving codes for the Super Smash Bros. 3DS demo, and that standard members will get demo codes a week later.
Players who redeem their demo code will also be granted 3 additional codes that can be gifted to friends, relatives or total strangers! The codes being gifted to platinum members will be valid for unlimited replays of the demo.
